Tennessee Police are investigating the murder of a 20-year-old man that was shot and killed Friday night during a “prank” robbery for a YouTube video.
On the night of Feb.5th, Nashville police reportedly responded to the parking lot of an Urban Air indoor trampoline park around 9:25 p.m., while there 23-year-old David Starnes admitted to police that he had shot and killed 20-year-old Timothy Wilks.
According to witnesses, the victim and a friend were recording “prank” robberies for a YouTube video. Detectives were told, Wilks and a friend approached a group of people that included Starnes; with butcher knives, Starnes who wasn’t aware of the prank shot the “assailant” in an effort to defend himself and the friends he was with.
An investigation is still ongoing. No one has been charged with the death of Timothy Wilks, and no immediate information has been released on the friend that was with Wilks during his time of death.
