In a social media post that highlights some of the singer’s most impactful life moments, Robin Thicke announced that he would be releasing a new album on February 12.
“On Earth, and in Heaven” will be the first project that Thicke has released in six years since charting No.9 on the BillBoard 200 with “Paula”, an album he had dedicated to his estranged wife of the time , Paula Patton. According to music sources this will also serve as a debut album for Thicke as he begins his new partnership with Lucky Music and Empire.
In a Jan. 4 press statement, Thicke shared, “I feel like I’m finally the person I set out to be. I’m able to laugh at anything, which I’ve realized is the greatest superpower. I’ve fully embraced it, and nothing has been better for my soul. When I saw the phrase On Earth, and in Heaven, I realized that’s what I’m singing about: the people who aren’t here and the people who are here that made me who I am. This music is the sunshine coming out after the rain.”
The superstar experienced a great loss in 2016 with the passing of his father , Alan Thicke, and later another tragedy struck when he lost his music mentor Andre Harrell in 2020.
